Passion Pit began with a personal project by a dude named Michael Angelakos for his girlfriend (they are no longer a couple from what we understand). The music began circulating among those in his social circle and eventually led to live gigs, a full band, and a record contract. The music is giddy and fun. The lyrics are not so much. Lots of angst and fears and such. Good times for a depressed person we suppose. Love it.
